In-Home Newborn Session - Baby Olivia
After a long hiatus, I’m now back to blogging again!!
Back in December, I had the honour of capturing Andrea and Geoffrey and their newest bundle of joy - baby Olivia, whom they just welcomed 5 months ago. When Andrea reached out to me, I was pretty excited to know that I’m going to be photographing a baby girl. Don’t get me wrong, I love boys too, but I just happened to have so many boy babies session prior, so I was longing to do a girl.
We started the session with just mom and baby. Of course, right? We moms are behind the scene most of the time, so it is my priority to give mom all the attention and majority of time with her baby at the session. Sometimes, when mom is running behind (that happens and it’s okay), then I’ll start with dad or just the baby alone, depending on the situation. As the session proceeded, I noticed that Olivia LOVED my camera. She would turn her head wherever I move or wherever the camera is, which is AMAZING!! I could see that she’ll do so well at her next session already. At least, I will not have any trouble asking her to look at my lens, right?! LOL.
Oh, and the nursery. Oh the nursery!! It is so BEAUTIFUL! Andrea did such an amazing job in putting the nursery together. Floral decals, pink, white and blush…totally my DREAM!! Andrea knew that I was excited seeing the nursery, but one thing she didn’t know is that I really want to come back and shoot more. Wondering if she’ll let me hehe!!
BUT, all things asides, the most beautiful part is still seeing the love and joy that parents have for their baby. The tender touch. The snuggles. The smiles on mom’s face whenever she had the baby in her arm. The tickles that daddy gave just to try to get some giggles. The look. The kisses of mom and dad. It was all so beautiful in front of my lens. And that, that’s what I want to capture for YOU!
Lifestyle newborn session is my favourite way to capture the love and joy of this special season for new parents, right in the comfort and intimacy setting - your home. The photographs are also unique and true to you, your family, and your story only!
