Summer Motherhood Session
First of all, this session has been on my bucket list for over a year and I am so so happy to be able to check it off last June. It all started at the park where I live. Every day, I see moms bringing their little ones out for a walk and witness many playful and tender moments. I thought to myself, this is a natural, a daily reoccurring when a mom cares for her little one. These playful moments should be documented as they are memories and legacy of motherhood. One day, I approached one of our local moms, Melanie and asked if I could photograph her and her daughter, Katie during their outing. I was so delight that she said yes. We went to a local farm and recreate all of these magical moments. Mother is the most important character in one’s live but is often left out in photographs because she is always the one behind the camera. This is why I started my whole new journey in motherhood photography a year ago. I want to help mothers reserve her legacy and love to her children, through my lenses and photographs.
“You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they will be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Just breathe, notice, study their faces and little feet. Pay attention. Relish the charms of the present. Enjoy today. It will be over before you know it” - Anonymous-

P.S: this gallery is a mixed of film and digital. Can you tell which one is film and which one is digital? ;).
