JESSIE BORSELLINO’S CREATIVE BRANDING SESSION

Within every branding session, I try to create images that tells the brand’s unique story, the inspiration, heart, and passion that made it become what it is today!

Jessie Borsellino, is a talented watercolour artist whose work is inspired by nature. Today, I’m sharing the creative branding session we did with her at the most beautiful All Who Wander Flower Farm. Trust me, this is one you would wanna read through to the end.

The Artist

I first met Jessie in person at the Spring plant sale at All Who Wander Flower Farm. Before that, I’ve already followed her on social media and fallen in love with all her work.

Jessie has been painting since she was young, creating beautiful watercolour pieces inspired by the natural world. Plants, flowers, landscapes, and animals all play a central role in her collections. With her brand, Poppyseed Paperie, she creates unique hand-painted, one of a kind, prints. Her collection gives a timeless, vintage vibe that merges with a gentle and compassionate side of nature we rarely experience ourselves.

In her own words, Jessie said “I like to think that I offer something hand-painted in a world that’s increasingly digital, especially with AI making its rounds. I hope that my art feels reminiscent of old-fashioned children’s books and a simpler time, with little imperfections and brushstrokes making what I create feel even more special and personal: I think the traditional way of doing art connects us to one another as humans. “

How BEAUTIFUL is that?!!

The LOCATION

When we were in talk about doing a creative session together, my friend Laura said “You have to come here. We have the perfect place for Jessie”. And she was absolutely right. All Who Wander Flower Farm is truly one of a kind locations, and definitely the best match for a nature-inspired, flower-lover artist like Jessie. At the time of the session, they just finished building their greenhouse as well, and it’s so dreamy and beautiful.

It was early in September. The sky was clear, the wind was crispy. We really couldn’t ask for the more perfect weather. The greenhouse was bathed in golden light, framed by blooming nature and accented with Jessie vintage painting table and toolsーeverything happened as it was meant to be. Jessie had two outfits for the session, one true to her day to day artistry and another more refined; the session unfolded with a quiet elegance that blended with the heart of her craft and the feel of an editorial story.

We started the session with a casual approach, like Jessie is at the desk, finishing up her painting, checking her journal for the day, etc. By doing things this way, we give everyone a chance to relax and feel more comfortable with the camera. One thing that I absolutely fell in love with here is Jessie’s antique painting stand. It’s GORGEOUS and filled with character. It’s my first time seeing one, and I loved it so much!!

Then, Laura, my friend, has really outdone herself with all the flowers and details around the greenhouse, on the stand. Doesn’t this make you feel like you’re in the English countryside?? Laura created a set that brought in an English country feel, almost like a Bridgerton-esque charm, absolutely perfect for Jessie’s artistic aesthetic.

One of my favourite moments from the session was capturing Jessie amongst the garden, wandering through the rows of blooming flowers. The sun shining down on her, sketchbook in hand, searching for inspiration by connecting and quietly observing the beauty of nature. Inspiration came easy thanks in part to the incredible sunny weather that allowed us to seamlessly move the session between the greenhouse and open flower fields. We were able to capture playful personal candid’s and intentional branding portraits that Jessie can use for various projects.

This session was truly a joy for all of us, me Jessie and Laura. The photos tell a story about a creator’s passion and flow.
